I bought this "wine bar" over a year ago. I think it must have been used as a stereo in it's former life because the sides had fabric panels to let the sound out.
The side panels were in there to stay. I had to enlist the help of my husband to take them out and this is what we were left with....
Needless to say, we weren't going to be able to re-use it.
At first glance, the green didn't bother me but after living with it in my home... the 70's glazed olive green was getting a little old!
I bought the paint back in September and gave you a hint when I painted my lamps. (See I told you I know how to drag out a project!) Once I finally got to painting, I drug it out another month or so.... I'm easily distracted or too much of a perfectionist! Although it took much longer than it should have, she is so pretty now sitting in my living room!!
For a quick fix for the side panels, I simply cut two pieces of cardboard and wrapped in a chevron fabric fat-quarter that I bought on Spoonflower.
It adds a little quirk to the piece and you know I love chevron!!
Aww! I love it!!
I think I was a little worried about starting since it was my first painting project. But now, I have a list of fun projects lined up! Have you ever had a project that you put off for way too long?
