Spring Wreath

I love coming home to a welcoming wreath on our door. I recycled my last years wreath and just added a few new flowers to spruce it up. I found the cute sign at our local garden store and added the feathers, flowers, bird house and grapevine balls that I found at Hobby Lobby.

Spring is in the Air... or in the Ground

My husband and I love to plant a small garden every year. He has a green thumb luckily because I can't seem to keep anything alive! He has planted quite a few veggies this year and it is getting a little hard to remember what we planted where.

We have a ton of rocks around our property so I collected as many flat and smooth rocks that I could find. I painted the pictures and names of the vegetable or fruit with paint pens and voila- cute garden markers!!

I had a few tiny rocks so I made small markers for our herb garden too!

Now I won't have to guess when I'm out picking the herbs if it is really the one I am needing or not!

Have you planted a garden? What all are you growing? Any tips on how to grow great veggies? If you need any onions or beets, feel free to swing by- we don't really eat those so I'm not exactly sure why we planted them!!

Spring Mantel

Although it has felt like *almost* summer here in our neck of the woods (ok... not really! I'll be wishing it felt this good in the summer), Spring has definitely shown up a little earlier than expected and has inspired me to bring a little color on to our mantel.

I left the large gold mirror and rustic white iron gate from our holiday mantel and a few other gold touches like the candle sticks and hexagon print candle holder.

On one side I added some wooden candlesticks, the hexagon candle, a little white bird and an arrangement that I had made sometime last year! I want to add some spring-y colors with flowers but I just haven't found anything that I like so far.

On the other side, I added a wooden bird house, the gold candlesticks, a "basket of succulents", and a cute blue bird!

For my spring decor, I just shopped around the house. Like I said, I need some color in the arrangement and maybe a fun wreath or something to hang from the gate. But not bad for using what I had on hand!!

Wishing you all a happy spring!
